What's New/Happening?
OXTON -
As of January 2009 Jack and Jill Oxton, now opens at 7.30 am till 6.00 pm
BRIMSTAGE- We are pleased to tell you that Jack and Jill Day Nursesry will soon be opening a new nursery in Brimstage, its been a very exciting year building our new pre school, which the children thoroughly enjoy and have gained an even greater sense of independance ready for their adventure into big school that we couldnt stop there, we are hoping to provide a similar experience for more children, parents and carers in the area of Brimstage.
This journey is only just begining so we will keep you informed every step of the way.
Tescos and Sainsburys- we managed to collect alot of vouchers again this year and we are awaiting a garden kit so thte children can enjoy growing their own vegetables at the bottom of the new garden and some ICT equipment for the children to experiment with and have hours of fun.
Partnership with parents - We would like you to be a close part of our nursery, please remember you are more than welcome to come and join in with activities, bake cakes with the children or read a story. We are also looking for you help in many other ways, please see the notice board in the receptions and classrooms.
Photographs - We would like to make the children's learning journals more personal, if you have any photographs of the children at home playing with their favourite toy, on holiday, their pet, or something they enjoy please bring it in so we can put this in their journal. We are also currently displaying photographs in the children's rooms, we have found this very beneficial to the children, they enjoy talking about their families or just seeing a more familiar face for times of comfort.
NSPCC - We are currently taking part in the NSPCC award ensuring that the safety of the children is paramount, due to this we have revised our policies and made changes, one change you will notice are incident forms, we now have to be more vigilant we these and record all accidents and incidents, so please dont be offended if you are asked by a member of staff to sign a form.
Due to this the way in which we administer Medication has also changed and we now have to be more vigilant with the types of medicine provided, please speak with your child's key worker or jo the manager if you have any quiries.
Good bye- Its that time of year again when we have to say a very sad good bye to our pre school children, some of which have been with us since the baby room, we can't believe they have all grown up so fast, good luck to you all in your big school, and we hope to see you all again soon.

Teddy Travels
We now have our very own teddy travels bear called Jack. He would love to go on holiday with you so please ask Beccy for further details if you have a holiday planned or if you are going away for the weekend.
Jack loves spending time with his favourite children in their homes or on their holidays, and at nursery our children really enjoy reading about what Jack has been up to. Sometimes we get postcards from Jack or photos of Jack which we put on our display. Jack has some beautiful outfits which our parents have made for him - he is such a lucky bear!
